1: Inefficient Engine– Airbus A380 is considered more fuel efficient than an average Economy car but it is valid only when the aircraft is full. A380 uses Rolls-Royce Trent 900 which is not as efficient as the new Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 used in Boeing 787 and Rolls-Royce Trent XWB used in Airbus A350. So, if we compare A380 with B787 and A350 Airbus A380 will burn 2 times more fuel than both of them. We all know that Fuel costs Amount to almost 50-60% of Operational costs for Airline and have Maximum passenger capacity of aeroplane.
 
2: Seating Capacity– Airbus A380 has more than 800 passengers capacity under single class configuration on Average it is more than 500 with 3 classes. World’s largest passenger airliner  As for Airlines, the break-even point is between 48% and 70% of the total seats and as Airbus A380 has a large Seating Capacity for airlines it is more challenging to reach Break-Even Point as the Maximum passenger capacity of aeroplane is more than others.
 
3: Huge Size- With the Wingspan of 80M and Length of 73 M it requires at least 3000M of a runway and 150ft wide only big international airports have this size of the runway and huge Apron with special Aerobridge for A380 due to which it creates a limitation for Airline and also more Staff is required
 
And at last, Covid 19 becomes one of the reasons for the death of the Airbus A380 world’s largest passenger airliner as the passenger flow is less and airlines are not comfortable using A380 because they are not able to achieve a Break-even point and fly Airbus  A380 at a loss.
