These are the terms used in aviation to describe removing ice from aircraft, but they are used differently. One is self and the other is external.
DE-ICE
It is the process used to remove Ice from the aircraft body that has already formed. This ice may affect the aircraft’s operational efficiency, and this process is performed on the ground after the aircraft has pushed back to get it ready for takeoff.
A special kind of heated liquid, which consists of chemicals, is spread over the aircraft to help remove ice and prevent ice formation on the body of the aircraft. This is mostly used during the winters, but due to this process, it increases the on-ground timing of aircraft and fuel consumption as the engine runs idle during this process.
ANTI-ICE
It is a process to prevent the formation of Ice, which is a built-in function of an aircraft that is used during the flight to prevent the formation of Ice in the aircraft’s body so that aircraft parts can work properly during flight.
This system mainly works using 3 techniques: heating the surface, using bleed air from the engine, and electrically heated probes.
This is integrated into the aircraft and helps to maintain effectiveness and protect sensors and other parts during the flight at high altitude.

When they are used,
The De-Ice is used on the ground mostly before the taxi when ice forms on the body of the aircraft and the other side. Anti-ice is used during the flight to prevent or remove Ice from aircraft.
Method used.
De-Ice is used in a Special kind of liquid that consists of a mixture of different kinds of chemicals. On the other hand, Anti-Ice generally doesn’t use any liquid, it’s an electronic system.
